West Texas Rehab Raised Over $1.6 Million Setting A New Record

The 52nd annual West Texas Rehabilitation Center's Telethon and Auction was a huge success for 2022. The West Texas Rehab Center (WTRC) had set its goal of $1.5 million dollars. In order to reach that goal, donors would have to donate and or participate in both the live and silent auctions that have been taking place for better than a month now and donate to the center directly.

West Texans came out in full force this year helping raise over $1,625,809 dollars. That number is expected to up even higher, as some donors wait until after the telethon to make their donations, and others round up their auction purchases or donations.

The WTRC Is Extremely Grateful To Everyone That Donated This Year

Karla Brown with the West Texas Rehab Center's donation relations department says "this year's totals far exceeded expectations and we're very happy and extremely grateful to all those who came out by supporting, volunteering, participating, and or donating to this year's telethon and auction.

The featured talent this year, the award-winning Gabby Barrett and the legendary country supergroup Sawyer Brown are both also recognized for their contribution to this year's telethon.

All in all, the WTRC is a private, non-profit corporation that began in 1953 as a place to treat children with cerebral palsy. Today, the West Texas Rehab helps thousands of children and adults all throughout Texas with three different locations here in West Texas. Providing services that include but are not limited to outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology, orthotics, prosthetics, and hospice care.
