After a several-year hiatus, Trisha Yearwood hinted on Instagram that fans can expect to hear some new music soon, as she's planning to return to the studio in the coming months. In a now-deleted post (obtained by Sounds Like Nashville), the country singer said that she was excited to get the ball rolling.

"I'm headed to the studio to start on a new record for the first time in ... I don't know, you guys probably know how many years better than I do," Yearwood gushed. "And I am so excited to start new music! So, it's day one and we're gonna share this journey with you."

With hits such as "How Do I Live" and "Walkaway Joe" under her belt, the country superstar most recently released music in 2014 with Prizefighter: Hit After Hit, which showcases some of Yearwood's most iconic hits alongside six new songs. That year, she also teamed with her husband, Garth Brooks, for a holiday album called Christmas TogetherDetails about her plans for her upcoming new album remain sparse as of yet, as Yearwood indicated that the recording process is in its early stages.

Yearwood says that she's looking forward to letting fans in behind the scenes as she records new music, and even indicated that a camera crew would be joining her in the studio in order to give fans an up close and personal experience during every step of her journey. "They might have to bleep me because sometimes I get excited in the studio, but wish me luck," the country icon joked.
