The Fort Griffin Fandangle Parade and Musical is June 19th-26th
The Fort Griffin Fandangle in Albany is coming up beginning June 18th and 19th then again on June 25th and 26th. The Ft Griffin Fandangle is a community production that brings the people in and around the Albany area together to tell the true story and history of the life and times of Fort Griffin.
The Fandangle is the best and oldest outdoor musical in the Lone Star State that incorporates the people and historians to bring to life as it was and the struggles of settling in the Albany community. The show includes covered wagons, buggies, horses, cattle, a railroad replica, plus the over 250 local performers that play the roles of the early settlers from Fort Griffin and the Albany area.
Over 80 years ago the Albany High School seniors put on a production that told the true stories of the "Texas Frontier" of how the Indians hunted the prairie, how the settlers were moving west with herds of Longhorn cattle, the Soldiers who protected the civilization and how life was back in the day. Relive that story of the the land was settled.
