Taylor Swift's new Lover album drops Friday, but she has eyes on re-recording her first six albums, as well. In a new interview, the country-turned-pop singer admits that she will "absolutely" re-cut all of the studio albums she originally recorded on Big Machine Records.

People quotes an exchange between Swift and CBS Sunday Morning interviewer Tracy Smith where the singer is asked if she plans to regain control of her masters by re-recording old songs. It's all affirmative, with apparently Swift saying "Yeah, absolutely" when Smith asks if that's her plan.

CBS Sunday Morning airs at 9AM ET. Swift's episode airs this Sunday (Aug. 25).

Swift's decision comes as a direct response to the acquisition of Big Machine Records by Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings for $300 million dollars. When the news of the sale broke in July, Swift immediately voiced her displeasure, saying she learned of it through the news and that she was never given a fair chance to acquire her master recordings. Big Machine's Scott Borchetta disputed Swift's version of the events, claiming she was given an opportunity to re-sign with Big Machine and that such an agreement would include owning her masters.

The feud is also personal, as Swift says Braun had been an incessant, manipulative bully over the years and his owning of her old songs is her "worst case scenario." Borchetta and Braun have talked briefly about their new deal, but Swift hasn't commented publicly, aside from her social media posts.

Lover (released Aug. 23) is Swift's seventh studio album and her first on Republic Records.
