Reba McEntire promised her next album would be traditional, and she's delivering: On Friday (Feb. 22), the country star shared "No U in Oklahoma," a Western swing song that will appear on Stronger Than the Truth. Press play above to listen.

McEntire wrote "No U in Oklahoma" with Ronnie Dunn and Donna McSpadden. It's one of 12 songs on Stronger Than the Truth, which she co-produced with Buddy Cannon.

"You put the 'T' for 'tears' in Texas / 'S' for 'sad' in Saint Louis / Our reckless travels led us to the state of misery / I cried clear 'cross Carolina," McEntire sings, her upbeat vocals and the peppy melody masking this song's downtrodden lyrics. However, she adds, "There's no 'U' in 'Oklahoma' / And that's okay with me ..."

At a press event in the fall of 2018, McEntire shared that her forthcoming record was "gonna be probably the most country album I've ever recorded." She previously revealed the title track of Stronger Than the Truth, which is also about a breakup and is equally traditional-sounding.

"I grew up on an 8,000-acre family ranch singing at dance halls, honky-tonks and rodeos with my brother and sister. Stronger Than the Truth takes me back to that kind of country music that I grew up with," McEntire says in a press release. "I haven't gotten to do that in a while, so I'm thrilled to pieces to release this new music."

Stronger Than the Truth is due out April 5, just two days before McEntire hosts the 2019 ACM Awards. The project will be released on Big Machine Records.
