Real Abilene Doctors Will Play Doctors In A Play Benefitting The Medical Care Mission
Abilene's Presbyterian Medical Care Mission (PMCM) presents "The Good Doctor" the Missions annual play, which will be Friday and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd, 2022. This event is a benefit fundraiser with a twist. Some of the Doctors that provide care for those who can't afford it will be playing a "Doctor" in this upcoming play.
The cast for this comical play was written by Neil Simon and Anton Chekov and stars Dr. Gary Goodnight, Dr. Steve Faehnle, Allison Bredemeyer, Renee Clark, Sterling Haliburton, George Levesque, K.O. Long, Doug Lopachin, Peirce Lopachin, Graci Melbourne, Brittany Morrison, Caleb Straus and is being directed by Betty Hukill.
The Medical Care Missions Play "The Good Doctor" is also a Dinner Theater.
The "Good Doctor" is a 'pot-boiler' (a play within a play) that is hilarious, sad, and touching. It centers around a writer, who speaks to the audience. It also includes some great music and consists of a series of short plays and/or short stories from a writer, who speaks to the audience making comments and sharing some life experiences with them.
A single entry play ticket is only $50, while a dinner and show ticket is $150 for one or $275 for two dinner/show tickets and can be purchased by calling the PMCM at 325-696-7504.
The play will be in the Historic Paramount Theatre at 352 Cypres downtown is limited capacity because of the dinner at Cypress Street Station prior to the play. Get your tickets now as it is expected to sell out.

The Presbyterian Medical Care Mission is a Christ-centered community ministry with one primary goal: to serve those in our area who are in need by providing access to affordable, quality primary medical to low-income and uninsured adults.
