Australian singer-songwriter Morgan Evans has signed his first record deal in the United States. The artist — and fiance of Kelsea Ballerini — is now part of the Warner Music Nashville family.

Evans announced his signing with Warner Music Nashville via a Facebook post on Tuesday (May 16), in which he shared a mashup of songs from Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell and Dan + Shay -- all now his WMN labelmates. In the post, Evans says he is "[s]o stoked to be a part of the Warner Music Nashville family!"

Evans started playing the guitar at the age of 13 and began his music career in Newcastle, Australia, touring in a band with his brother, a press release reports. He has been signed to Warner Music Australia since 2012 and quickly became an award-winning and chart-topping country artist; Evans' first full-length album was released in 2014, following two EPs that resulted in three No. 1 singles on Australian radio. In 2015, Evans earned the Country Music Association’s Global Artist Award.

In an interview with The Boot earlier this year, Ballerini hinted that Evans was on his way to a music career in the States: "He’s coming over here this year to start his music career over here,” she said at the time. “[He’s the] kindest heart I’ve ever met in my life, and I’m excited for everyone to get to know him.”

There is no word yet on when Evans’ first U.S. album will be released; however, per a press release, he is currently in the studio with songwriter and producer Chris DeStefano. Evans will play the Grand Ole Opry on Friday (May 19) and the Bluebird Cafe on Saturday (May 20). Ballerini's upcoming sophomore album reportedly features a song on which Evans sings background vocals.
