Like so many Americans, Kelsea Ballerini felt ill after learning of last weekend's shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Like many Americans, she knows there is an urgent problem at hand.

The "Miss Me More" singer tweeted her thoughts and feelings on Sunday morning (Aug. 4). "To every person affected personally by these two acts of hate, I am just so, so sorry," she writes. "But sorry isn't good enough. We have to do better. Now."

The 25-year-old had a weekend off the road last weekend, having last played when she joined the Chainsmokers at Lollapalooza last week.

Kacey Musgraves played Lollapalooza on Sunday, and led a crowd chanting "Somebody f--king do something."

"I can't even believe that we're having to process the shit that's happening in the last 24 hours, much less everything that's happened in the last 200 and f--king 15 days in America," Musgraves told the crowd after thanking them for coming. "I don't know what the answer is but obviously something has to be f--king done."

Maren Morris was another country artist who took to social media, as did Loretta Lynn.

"I think of the mommas, the husbands, the wives, the children," the legend shared on Facebook. "I've crisscrossed this country singing. I've been to the big cities and the tiniest county fairs in America. In every place, I saw her goodness and her beautiful people. I love them all. This hatred isn't us. It has to stop. Let's pray for El Paso and Dayton and for the country I love with all my heart."

Thirty one people were killed in the separate, unrelated shootings on Saturday morning and evening. They came less than one week after a gunman opened fire at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.
