Charity Garage Sale to Benefit Special Needs Kids
The community 'Charity Garage Sale' that will take place on Saturday, April 17th between 8am and 2pm is a benefit fundraiser for Camp Able at 1302 Pecan St. in Buffalo Gap. Camp Able is a non-profit organization that is first, a horse sanctuary and second a place where they assists underprivileged and special needs children and adults.
The Charity Garage Sale is being organized by the Tonya Harbin Realty team. They are currently accepting donations for any items they can sell at the garage sale. All the monies raised during this event will go toward assisting the kids and adults in need of Camp Able services. As well as, helping with the needs of the horses that Camp Able rescues.
The camp has over 60 special therapy horses and a couple of dogs that have all been trained to assist those with special needs or that are suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety or those in need of rehab of some kind.
All the monies raised from the 'garage sale' will go directly to Camp Able. After the garage sale is over all goods that are left over will be donated to the Salvation Army store as well as the local Goodwill stores here in Abilene.
The garage sale organizer Amanda Henderson says that the Tonya Harbin team are currently accepting donations for the sale. Items can be dropped off if items are too big or you cannot drop them off the will send someone to pick up your donations.
To donate simply drop off all items at the Tonya Harbin offices at 3257 Buffalo Gap Road, between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday, or simply call 325-603-3550 to arrange a pick-up date and time.
