Get a whiff of this.

A taxi driver in Britain made his play for the world's worst excuse when he attempted to blame his passengers' flatulence for speeding when cops pulled him over.

Guess you could say he made a big stink about it.

At least he elected to blame breaking wind, instead of just plain ol' wind.

The cops certainly didn't fall for this excuse, which is to say they could smell something was amiss, proving that when it comes to a terrible lie, whoever dealt it didn't necessarily smell it.

It's unclear if the driver got ticketed, but it sounds like he did, which probably made him sick to his stomach. And that means his next passenger probably had an unpleasant scent to deal with on his ride.
