On-the-rise Americana artist Brent Cobb made his television debut on Conan on Tuesday night (June 6). The singer-songwriter performed "Diggin' Holes," from his debut album, Shine on Rainy Day.

Readers can press play above to watch Cobb's Conan performance. The bluesy broke-man’s anthem was co-written by Cobb and Nashville songwriter Casey Wood; it was inspired by Wood’s brother, an aspiring musician who ultimately stayed in his home state of Kentucky instead of pursuing a career in Nashville.

Produced by Grammy Awards-winning Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson collaborator Dave Cobb -- who is Brent Cobb's cousin -- Shine on Rainy Day has earned Cobb acclaim from just about every critic out there. Those not yet familiar with the artist's unique sound still might recognize his name: Cobb has written a number of tracks for popular country artists such as Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney.

This year, Cobb will appear on tour alongside Stapleton, on Stapleton's All-American Road Show, and make appearances at select dates on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s 2017 Soul2Soul Tour. Cobb is also a nominee for Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2017 Americana Honors & Awards, scheduled to take place in September in Nashville.
