According to the latest studies and numbers from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), most of Texas has at least one of the most stolen vehicles in their driveway. While Texas is different from the rest of the United States. It's apparent that "West Texans" drive a lot of the top 10 autos that are highly sought after by thieves.

With almost 70,000 car thefts every year, Texas is in second place trailing behind California for the most stolen vehicles by state. However, car thieves tend to target vehicles that are easier to steal, like a Chevy full-size pickup truck.

According to Defensive Driving.org, the reason a certain vehicle is stolen more than others is not necessarily because of its good looks and styling but rather that it's a more popular model, as in there are more of them on the road to steal.

In West Texas, Odessa Has The Highest Amount Of Cars Stolen
