With flowing locks and a decidedly rock stage presence, Austin Meade's genre-bending success may be a bit surprising to the uninitiated.

Meade's early years, marked by picking up the guitar in the church his father pastored and his dad's determination to expose him to rock greats like Judas Priest and Whitesnake laid a solid foundation for his high-energy live show and the rock undertones he brings to his music.

After several years on the Texas and Red Dirt touring scene, though, it's obvious that Meade's soulful lyrics and rebellious outlook resonate with a bigger audience than you'd usually find at hard rock shows.

In his trademark anti-establishment style, Meade even teamed up with fellow Texas-Red Dirt party child Koe Wetzel for a collaborative edition of "Happier Alone".

Meade is riding the wave of successful radio and digital singles "Happier Alone," "Cave In," and "Dopamine Drop" (all from his recent Black Sheep album) with an aggressive touring schedule that covers the West Coast and the Southwest, and Texas in 2022.
