Since the release of her major-label debut, Girl Going Nowherein March, Ashley McBryde has been gaining widespread acclaim, a growing listener base and even a loyal fan club, the Trybe. While plenty of fans come up to her at shows and during meet and greets to tell her how much her music means to them, McBryde says that there's one recent fan interaction that has particularly stuck with her.

"The best one lately was when I was in Fresno, [Calif.], and this very nice girl came up," she told The Boot in June, at the 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival. "She said she had lost her kids because she had a pill problem. But she went into rehab, downloaded my record and, for 38 days, listened to that record [on repeat].

"She got out and got her kids back," McBryde continues. "That's huge. Huge!"

The rising star has a busy schedule these days, between joining Luke Combs as an opening act for his Don't Tempt Me With a Good Time Tour earlier in 2018 and launching her own headlining tour in September, but McBryde never takes for granted the impact her music has on listeners.

"You can't say anything to that," McBryde says of meeting the fan who conquered addiction to regain custody of her children. "All you can say is, 'I'm so proud of how strong you are. I'm so proud of how determined you are.' Because we wrote some songs that we thought would do some cool things, but they've reached beyond what we thought they would reach. Because for her to come to me and say, 'I lost my kids and then got them back,' that's way bigger than us."

McBryde's headlining U.S. and European tour kicks off in September of 2018. For more details, or to purchase tickets, go to her website.
